Leaders are made not born: Behavioural Theories believe that people can become leaders through the process of teaching, learning and observation. Leadership is a set of skills that can be learned by training, perception, practice and experience over time.
There have been many leaders who have influenced me in various facets of living my life whether professional or personal. I follow many Politicians, Sportsman and individuals ,to name someone who has influenced the most is Elon Musk, a south African born American entrepreneur and businessman who founded x.com in 1999 ( which later became PayPal), spacex in 2002 and Tesla in 2003, Musk became a multimillionaire in his late 20s when he sold his start-up company, Zip2, to a division of Compaq Computers. Musk made headlines in May 2012, when SpaceX launched a rocket that would send the first commercial vehicle to the International Space Station.
He has been a pioneer as a leader, innovator and as an entrepreneur with many of his companies like Tesla, being a CEO, co-founder of Tesla which is dedicated to producing affordable, mass-market electric car as well as battery products and solar roofs. I am inspired by his passion for his work and how he leads by example with innovation and creativity. I try to put the similar approach in my work i.e. leading the Analytics division in one the leading US based software company to be passionate and always ask myself on how to do it and keep my personal motivation going.
In one of the articles I had read about his creative ideas which many told him were not a possibility but, in his words, “How can we do it” and that is evident from many applications of his in Tesla and Space X.
